**Summary**: BILL has expanded its Supplier Payments Plus product to enable large enterprise suppliers to accept card and ACH payments from any SMB customer, even those without a BILL account. This upgrade allows suppliers to turn paper checks into digital transactions automatically while depositing card payments directly into accounts, potentially reducing collection times by up to seven days.

BILL introduced Supplier Payments Plus in June 2025 to assist large suppliers in managing high volumes of payments from various small businesses. The recent enhancement allows enterprise suppliers to collect payments from SMB customers outside the BILL network, setting aside the traditional closed-network approach in B2B payment platforms.

**Opening Access to Non-Members**: The highlight of the expansion is Payment Links, which lets enterprise suppliers send a payment link to any SMB customer, facilitating card or ACH payments without the need for the buyer to have a BILL account. This change allows suppliers to receive and reconcile all payments through one system, simplifying their processes.

Mary Kay Bowman from BILL highlighted how the company simplifies complex B2B payment processes for better money movement across SMBs and their enterprise suppliers.

**Automating Processes**: In addition to Payment Links, BILL has introduced Card Straight-Through Processing, which automates the deposit of card payments into supplier accounts, and Intelligent Check Conversion, which digitizes paper checks. These features address manual processing and reconciliation challenges, enhancing cash application efficiency.

Industry research indicates that most companies aim to improve cash application efficiency, identifying manual reconciliation and payment delays as key pain points. BILL’s position between large suppliers and their SMB customers makes it well-suited to streamline these processes.

**Strategic Opportunity**: In an evolving B2B payments market, BILL focuses on building more capabilities for enterprise suppliers rather than solely on SMBs. The Supplier Payments Plus expansion secures BILL’s value by integrating suppliers deeply into its platform, making it difficult for them to switch to competitors.

BILL processed 33 million transactions in its last reported quarter, with core revenue of $1.3 billion for fiscal year 2025, reflecting a 16% increase. With a network exceeding eight million businesses, BILL provides significant integration benefits to enterprise suppliers, reinforcing its payment network’s value. The recent expansion aims to increase the participation of SMBs in this network, even those new to BILL.
