Apple is said to be in the late phases of creating its smart glasses, with at least four distinct styles being evaluated. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, these glasses are designed to utilize Apple’s famous design principles to stand out from competitors like the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses.

The smart glasses will not be augmented reality devices but rather wearable spectacles featuring built-in cameras, microphones, and sensors. They will deliver notifications from iPhones, enable personal photo and video recording, play music, and improve interactions with AI functionalities, including an enhanced Siri.
Their capabilities are anticipated to mirror a combination of the Apple Watch and AirPods, mainly functioning as an accessory to the iPhone. This tight connection with the iPhone implies that the glasses will depend significantly on the smartphone for various features.

Gurman details four unique designs presently under review:
1. A large rectangular frame, similar to Ray-Ban Wayfarers.
2. A sleeker rectangular design, evoking the eyewear of Apple CEO Tim Cook.
3. More prominent oval or circular frames.
4. A compact, more refined oval or circular variant.
Apple is also considering diverse finishes, including black, ocean blue, and light brown, aiming for a design that is instantly distinctive, akin to their other product ranges.
