Roblox has experienced a decline in its daily active user base, dropping by 20 million over the past six months. The platform now reports having 132 million daily active users worldwide, compared to 144 million at the end of last year and 152 million in Q3 2025. In the US and Canada, the user count fell by one million from the previous quarter, despite Roblox’s revenue increasing to $1.4 billion. The decrease in user numbers is attributed to age verification measures and a ban in Russia from December 2025. Roblox’s first-quarter growth faced challenges from these factors, slowing down new user acquisition. Additionally, Roblox expanded its age restrictions, affecting the types of games available to different age groups. Despite these changes, Roblox is focused on enhancing age-appropriate access and anticipates reduced growth expectations for 2026. By the end of the first quarter, 51% of global daily active users had undergone age verification, with 65% in the US. The platform is also encouraging content targeting users over 18 by increasing the Developer Exchange rate by 42% for age-verified users in this age group.
