You know Lady Gaga appears in The Devil Wears Prada 2, but you don’t know just how perfect it is. Mother Monster, who teamed up with Doechii for soundtrack banger “Runway,” garners applause with her cameo in the awaited sequel. But you’ll have to wait until the final act to see Lady Gaga in the same universe as Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).

There are two moments with Gaga appearing as herself in The Devil Wears Prada 2. One is a hilarious dressing room altercation between Miranda and Gaga before a major fashion event in Milan’s Accademia di Brera, in which the Mayhem singer is less than excited to see the Runway editor-in-chief — there’s not a poker face in sight.

“Who let her in here?” Gaga scoffs at Miranda. “Nigel said I’d never do another cover.”

I won’t ruin the whole scene, but I will say one thing: We never see Miranda Priestly grovelling, but this scene comes pretty close, as the famously acerbic editor must get Gaga onside. Considering Streep herself asked Gaga to be in the film, it’s hilarious to watch them hating on each other in the scene.

“Who let her in here?”

On a stunning, structural set, Gaga later performs among the runway models during the show in the Brera, surrounded by Italian designer looks by Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, Moschino, Missoni, Lorenzo Seghezzi, Etro, Rosamosario, Roberto Cavalli, Antonio Marras, and of course, Prada. She’s singing her track from The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack, “The Shape of a Woman.” (The artist has another track, “Glamorous Life,” made for the film.)

It’s by no means the only cameo in the film, with a runway’s worth of fashion icons, Hollywood stars, journalists, and more celebrities invited to the most star-studded affair of the season. And Gaga herself is no stranger to a cameo.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits cinemas May 1.
