More than 200 Twitter employees in Seattle laid off as part of larger cuts


Twitter is laying off 208 Seattle-based employees, according to a new filing with the Washington state Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) system. GeekWire reported last week that Seattle employees were impacted by the widespread layoffs at Twitter, which reportedly gutted about half of the company’s 7,500-person workforce under its new owner Elon Musk. The new filing Monday shows the specific number of job cuts. Seattle is Twitter’s second-largest engineering hub outside of the San Francisco headquarters.
