With historic heatwaves, the product of summer 2025 was the personal fan. These pocket-sized devices were everywhere, with people using them to stay cool on their commute home or while attending VidCon. Portable fans are an easy, cheap way to stay cool with dozens of options available on Amazon, yet a luxe option appeared in 2026: the Shark ChillPill.

Shark’s ChillPill is a handheld fan with digital controls. It twists to form a comfortable handhold or creates a little perch, like a miniature tabletop fan. It has 10 speeds which push air up to 25 feet. When set to max speed, it’s noisy, more akin to a hair dryer than a fan.

It’s a bladeless fan that comes with two interchangeable heads. One is the InstaChill Cooling Plate, cooling skin by up to 16 degrees Fahrenheit upon contact. The other head is a mister, with a small water tank providing up to 10 minutes of cool mist, perfect for hot, dry climates. The ChillPill is USB-C chargeable and has 11 hours of battery life. It comes in colors like pink, teal, blue, green, and rose gold, allowing color coordination for upcoming summer events.

The catch with the Shark ChillPill? Its $149.99 price tag. While most personal fans are available for $25 or less, the ChillPill is pricier. Despite not being thoroughly vetted yet, its long battery life and extra attachments make it a potential worthy investment.

The Shark ChillPill is now available to purchase on Amazon.
