Adobe has revealed major advancements in its text and video generation functionalities by incorporating new AI models from Google and collaborating with more AI firms. The company has introduced the Firefly app for Android and iOS, providing users with access to robust generative AI capabilities akin to those available on desktop. The app synchronizes with Creative Cloud accounts, enabling smooth project transitions between devices. Adobe’s Firefly Boards have also received enhancements, featuring a conversational AI interface for image modifications and a new “Generative Video” feature. The company has teamed up with ideogram, Luma, Pika, and runway, in addition to its existing collaborations with Google and OpenAI, ensuring users have a variety of models for content creation. Adobe guarantees that the content generated by users will not be employed to train its models. The new Google models, Imagen 4 and Veo 3, improve image and hyper-realistic video generation capabilities. Firefly Boards now enable text-to-video generation and iterative image adjustments using text prompts. Further quality-of-life improvements include a one-click content arrangement option and the capability to link Adobe documents within Boards.
