There isn’t an official Adult Friend Finder app, but many users access its content on mobile using the site’s mobile version through Safari or Google Chrome. Diehard fans have created a workaround to mimic an app experience. Here’s everything you need to know.
Why doesn’t Adult Friend Finder have an app?
Apple and Google strictly regulate app store content, and because Adult Friend Finder allows on-site nudity, it hasn’t been granted permission for an official app for their mobile platforms.
Unfortunately, these rules apply even if you don’t have nudity on your profile or use all the filters that restrict adult content display when using AFF. A watered-down version of the app is unlikely to ever be available.
What’s the best alternative?
To mimic an app experience, create a homescreen shortcut to the Adult Friend Finder site. If cookies are enabled and you’re logged in, you can remain logged in every time, avoiding re-entering login credentials.
To create a homescreen shortcut on your iPhone or iPad:
1. Navigate to AdultFriendFinder.com in Safari (no third-party browser will work)
2. Tap the ellipsis icon in the bottom right corner of Safari, then the Share icon at the top
3. Scroll to the bottom and select “Add to Home Screen”
4. Assign a name to the icon before hitting “Add”
For Android users:
1. Navigate to AdultFriendFinder.com in Chrome (no third-party browser will work)
2. Tap the menu icon in the upper right corner of Chrome, then “Add to Home Screen”
3. Assign a name to the icon before hitting “Add”
How secure is this home screen icon approach?
This method is functionally the same as opening Chrome or Safari first, so it’s no less safe. However, consider the following:
– If sharing your device, others might see the AFF icon and access your account.
– To keep use hidden, hide the icon within a sub-folder or password-protected folder.
– To avoid saving login credentials, create the icon using incognito or private browsing.
