AMC is taking a novel approach to promote its Silicon Valley-focused comedy “The Audacity.” Instead of the usual strategy of releasing full episodes on YouTube, AMC will premiere the show on TikTok. Starting Sunday morning, the premiere will be available in 21 segments, each around three minutes long, as reported by Deadline. The segments will be numbered, allowing users to watch the entire premiere sequentially.

This strategy could effectively attract younger viewers for what AMC’s chief marketing officer described as the network’s biggest launch of the year. Alternatively, it may come off as an unusual attempt to mimic Quibi.

Created by Jonathan Glatzer and featuring Billy Magnussen and Sarah Goldberg, “The Audacity” doesn’t portray real companies or executives but aims to provide a darkly comedic perspective on various issues caused by modern technology.

For those who prefer not to watch in three-minute segments, the full premiere is available on AMC and its streaming service AMC+. It will also air on Samsung’s free service, Samsung TV Plus.
