A slight redesign has been observed from Google, which may enhance the intuitiveness of QR code scanning.
This enhancement, reported by 9to5Google, aims to improve the functionality of Android’s QR scanner, which appears to have rolled out today (July 28). The most significant alteration in this update is how the QR code viewfinder displays its weblink after the scan concludes. The report discovered that Google has introduced an improved sub-menu (at the bottom of the screen) that indicates the destination of the link (i.e., Chrome) along with various useful options.
Now, users can scan a QR code to access the following actions: Open (to visit the site/app), Copy text, and Share. This is a substantial upgrade from the previous “Open” button, which solely allowed users to navigate to the origin of the QR code.
