Apple has removed an AI-powered iOS app from its App Store, citing guideline violations. The app, “Anything,” allowed users to create apps using natural language AI prompts, a method known as “vibe coding.” According to The Information, Apple began removing or blocking updates for such apps in March. The company told MacRumors that while no rule directly bans vibe coding, apps must comply with Guideline 2.5.2, which requires apps to be self-contained and restricts code execution that alters app features. Developers face approval delays, possibly due to vibe-coding apps, suggesting that aspiring iOS app creators may need traditional coding skills.
