Apple has officially unveiled WWDC 2026, confirming the dates for its forthcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. The event will commence with a keynote on Monday, June 8, where we anticipate Apple to announce iOS 27, macOS 27, and much more.
WWDC offers developers from around the globe their initial glimpse at the new software technologies set to arrive on iPhone, iPad, the Mac, and beyond. This year, we expect to see iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27. Apple also occasionally showcases new features for AirPods and HomePod during WWDC.
Last year, Apple substituted iOS 18 with iOS 26, bypassing iOS 19 to instead name the version based on the upcoming year. Even though Apple reveals forthcoming software updates in the middle of the year, the actual software is only officially released in September.
This year, Apple is predicted to concentrate on enhancing last year’s Liquid Glass redesign, introducing Siri and Apple Intelligence features that utilize Google’s Gemini AI models, and boosting overall platform stability.
Apple typically provides the initial developer beta versions of the new operating systems following the end of the keynote on the first day of the conference. Public beta versions of the OS updates are rolled out a month later in July after Apple has had additional time to refine the pre-release software.
