IT troubles extend beyond Earth.
Artemis II faces pesky software issues.
Even in space, IT frustrations persist. As Artemis II journeys to the moon, the world keeps a close watch via NASA’s livestream. Despite smooth sailing for the mission itself, the crew stumbled upon a hiccup with email on Thursday. A Bluesky user, Niki Grayson, caught a moment showing the crew grappling with familiar Microsoft Outlook issues, just like us on Earth.
The laughable mishap occurred when Commander Reid Wiseman’s Microsoft Surface Pro showed two instances of Outlook running, reports PCMag. Additionally, Wiseman needed mission control in Houston to remotely access the device to resolve the issue. Within an hour, mission control took over, fixed the issue, and cleared out.
Many experiencing workplace IT issues can empathize. Moreover, the crew faced other challenges early on, like a malfunctioning toilet requiring urgent attention while still orbiting Earth.
