It has been around two and a half months since we initially heard about the AYANEO Pocket S2, which was revealed at GDC 2025. Now, we are finally gaining more understanding of what the handheld is anticipated to bring in terms of design and functionality.
The original announcement coincided with Qualcomm’s unveiling of three new gaming-centric chipsets, led by the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3. This serves as the successor to the G3x Gen 2 that was introduced in August 2023, with AYANEO being the sole manufacturer to incorporate it into a device. Following its debut with the Pocket S, AYANEO has since implemented the G3x Gen 2 in four distinct handhelds, including the soon-to-be-released Pocket ACE.
