Clintech Pico: First Raspberry Pi RP2354B Board with 48 GPIOs in Pico Form Factor

3 Min Read

Developed by Clintech Ltd. in Bulgaria, the Clintech Pico Board is reportedly the first development board featuring the Raspberry Pi RP2354B chip with 2MB on-chip memory. It maintains the form factor of a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 while incorporating additional GPIOs to utilize the 48 general-purpose GPIOs offered by the RP2354B chip.

This board, similar to the Raspberry Pi Pico 2, incorporates 40 castellated and through holes on the sides, revealing GPIOs 0–22 and 26–28, along with three debug pins. It also includes 27 extra onboard through holes that access the remaining GPIOs (23–25 and 29–47) and the QSPI interface (SD0–SD3 and SCLK) for external memory.

Clintech Pico specifications:

It equips a standard bootloader for UF2 drag-and-drop firmware flashing over USB mass storage mode. It supports the Raspberry Pi Pico C/C++ and MicroPython SDKs.

In our previous articles, we explored various Raspberry Pi Pico compatible boards like Nexus RP2350 LiPo, Waveshare RP2350 CAN, CPico RP2350, and Pico W5, which offered features such as battery support, CAN Bus controller, USB-C port, enhanced flash, PSRAM, and wireless connectivity. The Clintech Pico stands out as the first to employ the new Raspberry Pi RP2354B microcontroller, offering 48 GPIOs.

The Clintech Pico is priced at $20 on Tindie, with global shipping available from Bulgaria. More details can be found on Clintech’s website.
