Bid farewell to Plus, Premium, and Max (for the most part). Welcome a new lineup of unusual numbers.

Dell unveils a fresh series of Pro laptops alongside its latest Precision line relaunch. The models are named Dell Pro 3, Dell Pro 5, and Dell Pro 7. Available in 14- and 16-inch versions for Pro 3 and Pro 5, and 13- and 14-inch variants for Pro 7 with 2-in-1 convertibles, they’re set for a May release. They will offer choices of Windows 11 or Ubuntu Linux, with pricing yet to be announced.

The Dell Pro laptops will deliver diverse display and chip selections, featuring AMD Ryzen AI 400 series “Gorgon Point” and Intel Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake.” With numerous configurations, Dell standardized the motherboard design across models, enabling larger fans and denser, slimmer batteries while preserving sleek designs. The Pro 5 incorporates LPCAMM2 RAM for user-replaceable, faster memory.

Alongside these are the Dell Pro Precision 5 14S and 16S laptops, marking the new entry into the revamped Precision series in May. The 5S models, available with Intel Panther Lake or AMD Gorgon Point chips, are lightweight workstations prioritizing integrated graphics over discrete GPUs. The Intel variant can utilize a Core Ultra X9 Panther Lake chip with Arc B390 graphics.

As Dell revitalizes its brand by reintroducing XPS and restructuring Pro names and tiers, the Dell Pro 14 Premium remains, receiving an Intel Panther Lake upgrade. Slimmed like the new lineup, it now weighs just over 2.2 pounds / 1kg, the lightest in Dell’s range. The Pro 14 Premium is slated to launch on March 31st, with prices also yet to be determined.
