Avoid skeleton alligators and be cautious with broken alligators, as they disappear after one landing. Landing on an emoji gives you a speed boost, as does landing on an alligator with a propeller. Missing an alligator or landing on a skeleton ends the game. The objective is to surpass your opponent’s score, displayed alongside yours in the corner.
According to TikTok, the game is available globally and can be played in both one-on-one and group chats. To access the game, send an emoji in a chat and click it to start. The chosen emoji becomes a floating booster in the game. Only single emojis can be used to access it.
TikTok released this Easter egg to add fun and competition to its messaging feature. This resembles Instagram’s emoji DM game, launched two years ago, where users keep an emoji bouncing with a paddle. Other platforms, like Meta’s Threads, are also experimenting with in-chat games.
