Dreamworks has unveiled the trailer for *Forgotten Island*, a captivating, enchanting story of camaraderie and exploration, reminiscent of *Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind*.

*Forgotten Island* centers on Jo (H.E.R.) and Raissa (Liza Soberano), childhood best friends. As they celebrate their high school graduation, they plan to spend one last evening together before Raissa departs from the Philippines to pursue further studies in the U.S.

Their goodbye is unexpectedly halted when they stumble through a portal into Nakali, a mystical island teeming with creatures from Filipino mythology. The duo must find a path back home before the island erases their memories of one another.

Set in the ’90s, the film is crafted by director Joel Crawford and producer Mark Swift from *Puss in Boots: The Last Wish*, featuring voice talents like Dave Franco, Lea Salonga, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng. The trailer also suggests a stellar soundtrack, already featuring Simple Minds’ iconic *Breakfast Club* theme “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”

*Forgotten Island* hits theaters on Sept. 25.
