The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai Robot uses green lasers to find, identify, and clean stains effectively.
Debuting during IFA 2025 in Berlin last September, the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai Robot is the company’s latest autonomous vacuum cleaner, following the 360 Vis Nav robovac released in 2023. The new model offers upgrades such as a self-cleaning roller mop, a multifunction dock, and laser stain identification. It’s available for $1,199 at Dyson, Amazon, and Best Buy, retaining the price of its predecessor.
This model moves from vision-based navigation to lidar technology, working with AI to avoid obstacles and use green lasers for stain detection and cleaning assessment. The robot’s roller mop cleans itself while operating and extends to reach wall edges and furniture.
Its dock manages water tank maintenance, dirt bin emptying, and roller mop cleaning without replaceable bags. However, The Verge’s Jennifer Pattison Tuohy noted the dock’s size and lack of Dyson’s signature style in her hands-on preview. While previous models haven’t matched Dyson’s vacuum reputation, The Verge intends to review the Spot+Scrub’s performance.
