YouTube Music has launched a new feature named “Beyond the Beat,” which features AI hosts that deliver commentary and insights on songs, reminiscent of a radio show. This function is currently being tested through YouTube Labs, enabling users to try it out prior to a broader rollout. To join in, users need to be subscribed to YouTube Music or YouTube Premium and register via the YouTube Labs page. The AI hosts provide backstories and trivia regarding the tracks, though users have the option to silence the commentary if they wish. Testers are encouraged to provide feedback to enhance the feature. Nevertheless, participation is restricted to a limited group of US-based users.
