Marvel’s Deadpool VR is set to launch in late 2025 exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, featuring Neil Patrick Harris as the voice of Deadpool.

Deadpool, the hilarious Merc with a Mouth known for breaking the 4th wall, is the newest superhero (after Batman) to receive a VR action game exclusive to Quest 3. Marvel’s Deadpool VR was revealed at the Summer Games Fest today, but I had the opportunity to experience an early demo back in late May at Meta’s California offices.

Featuring the Emmy-winning Neil Patrick Harris as the lead antihero, Marvel’s Deadpool VR is developed by Twisted Pixel. Acquired by Meta in 2021, Twisted Pixel last produced the beat-em-up VR game Path of the Warrior in 2019. Development on Deadpool has clearly been in progress for several years.

The game seems to serve as an immediate contrast to 2024’s Batman: Arkham Shadow VR, created by another developer brought under the Meta umbrella, Camouflaj. Both titles boast experienced voice actors, extensive story-driven experiences, and impressive next-gen graphics. Nevertheless, they differ significantly in terms of combat mechanics, movement, and overall tone.
