The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has reached an all-time low price.
Google’s latest smartphone collection is about to be unveiled in a couple of weeks, but there’s no need to hold off for a fantastic Pixel 9 Pro Fold offer. As part of its Back To School promotional event, Best Buy is offering a massive $500 discount on the Pixel foldable, with no conditions. Additionally, you can receive an extra $100 off by activating through Verizon or AT&T, and there’s also some credit available if you trade in an old or damaged phone.
Even with the $500 reduction, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will still cost you $1,299, but it’s still a monumental price cut on one of the finest foldable phones available.. at least until the 2025 version is unveiled on August 20th.
Launched nearly a year ago today, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold continues to astound with two stunning 120Hz OLED displays, a robust folding hinge, and all those cutting-edge AI-driven software features that have been making headlines recently.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold also offers impressively enduring battery life along with 16GB of RAM as standard. Moreover, the foldable is run by the same Tensor G4 chipset that powers the rest of the Pixel 9 series, and you’ll also benefit from the same seven years of guaranteed OS and security updates.
The compromises include somewhat underwhelming camera technology (it’s adequate, but not extraordinary) and a lack of stylus compatibility. These wouldn’t be significant concerns for another phone, but at this price point, I expect to be wowed, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold just doesn’t meet those expectations in these areas.
With the upcoming launch of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold on August 20th (not to mention the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 from Samsung), last year’s model may easily be overlooked. However, if you appreciate the Pixel ecosystem and are looking to dive into foldable phones, this Best Buy deal offers a distinctive chance. After all, it’s not like we anticipate the Pixel 10 Pro Fold to be drastically different from its predecessor, so why not opt for last year’s version and save a significant amount in the process?
