The Galaxy S26 Ultra might introduce 60W wired and 25W wireless charging for the first time.

Samsung Galaxy smartphones have not been renowned for their charging capabilities, yet a recent leak indicates that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could significantly enhance both wired and wireless charging speeds for Samsung’s upcoming flagship models.

Earlier leaks unveiled that Samsung is set to provide the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra with a substantial charging enhancement, increasing wired charging power from 45W to 60W. Although this still falls short of the rapid charging offered by the OnePlus 15 or other Chinese flagships like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra or Oppo Find X9 Pro, it represents a positive step forward. Now, another leak hints that wireless charging speeds will also be improved.

As per a report from the Korean source ET News (via @Jukanlosreve on X), Samsung intends to outfit the Galaxy S26 Ultra with fast wireless charging of up to 25W. The standard Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are anticipated to receive upgrades as well, reportedly accommodating up to 20W wireless charging.

Up until now, all Galaxy models have supported a maximum of 15W wireless charging. However, the report asserts that all forthcoming models will showcase faster speeds next year. This would be the first enhancement in wireless charging speeds from Samsung in nearly six years, definitely a welcome modification.

It remains unclear whether the devices will accommodate Qi2 charging speeds (which allow for up to 25W maximum) or integrate a magnetic ring akin to the Pixel 10 series. Nevertheless, considering Samsung has recently launched its own MagSafe-style chargers, it is probable that both Qi2 magnets and enhanced charging capabilities will be available.

There has been a lot of information leaked regarding the Galaxy S26 series in the past few weeks. Initially, the lineup was speculated to launch in February 2026, but a newer leak indicates it may debut in late January instead. We also had our first glimpse of the Galaxy S26 Plus after Samsung reportedly opted to forgo the Galaxy S26 Edge in favor of the Plus variant due to the lackluster sales of the S25 Edge.

A great deal could still evolve before the official unveiling in approximately two months, but we are starting to see the Galaxy S26 series take form.
