Labor Day smartwatch bargains this year have not been impressive, but the 60%-off Galaxy Watch 6 Classic LTE remains a worthwhile purchase.
We’ve been monitoring Labor Day smartwatch offers, but they’ve been few and far between this weekend. The only deal we noticed that stands out is: The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm LTE is $192.99 ($287 off) at Best Buy, as the site lists all of its Classic models on clearance.
We’re not certain how many Watch 6 Classics are available, but this could be your final opportunity to get a new model instead of a refurbished one. We also found the same 60% discount on Amazon, although most other sizes come from third-party sellers.
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is a commendable smartwatch with quick performance and the rotating bezel that long-standing Samsung enthusiasts adore. However, its sharp, bulkier design has divided these same fans, who believe that the previous Galaxy Watch 6 Classic design embodies that vintage aesthetic significantly better.
Hence, instead of spending $499 on the new model (or $549 with cellular), you can spend less than half that on the Watch 6 Classic LTE, which is still set to receive three more major updates until the end of 2027.
Previously one of our top recommendations for the best Android smartwatch, the Watch 6 Classic has been replaced by newer models but still possesses the same precise sensors, responsive One UI interface, large 2,000-nit displays, and adept rotating bezel controls that made it such an enticing buy in the first place.
Seize one at a great discount for Labor Day before it’s completely out of stock!
✅Recommended if: You own a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic or Watch 5 and desire a more traditional design compared to the newer 8 Classic; you value style over the latest features; or you dislike the touch bezel controls of other Galaxy Watches.
❌Skip this deal if: You prioritize a lighter design over a rotating bezel and would rather have the Galaxy Watch 7 for $199 to gain slightly more modern hardware and sensors.
You can search for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic elsewhere, but it will either be refurbished or sold by third-party Amazon vendors who may or may not have genuinely “new” models. This is why this is your last chance to secure a Classic with a degree of quality assurance before it disappears from the market entirely.
The photo above illustrates how the Watch 8 Classic compares to the 6 Classic; the older model presents a more understated appearance but is roughly the same weight and thickness. It features a slightly older Exynos processor but the same RAM capacity for comparable performance, enabling it to execute Gemini commands swiftly.
Though this model lacks the new health sensors for specialized data like your antioxidant index or vascular load, you are still obtaining the essential Galaxy Watch experience.
Additionally, remember that Samsung regularly provides increased trade-in credits for its old watches. Therefore, if the Galaxy Watch 9 series seems more appealing a year from now, this Watch 6 Classic deal will ultimately serve as a down payment when you exchange it for something superior!
