

Apple has introduced sideloading for the iPhone in select countries.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Android enthusiasts found themselves facing a dilemma when Google declared it would complicate the process of sideloading apps for security reasons. Although the tech titan asserted that sideloading would not be eliminated, many users remained skeptical about this assurance. Now, it appears Google is reconsidering its strategy, revealing that it will maintain the option for sideloading applications, but only for “experienced” users.
The company mentioned in a recent blog post that, according to “feedback and our ongoing discussions with the community, we are developing a new advanced process that allows experienced users to accept the risks associated with installing unverified software.” Additionally, Google emphasizes that it is creating the system with anti-coercive measures to ensure users are not “deceived into circumventing” any of the safeguards implemented with this change.
