Essential information

  • Google Keep on Android now permits users to sort notes by creation date or modification date.
  • A newly added sort icon in the search bar facilitates easy toggling between sorting options.
  • This sorting capability is being rolled out first on Android, with no support for iOS or desktop yet.

Google is deploying an update for its Keep note-taking application on Android that introduces much-anticipated sorting options for notes.

Even with the extensive array of note-taking applications available on Android, Google Keep continues to stand out as one of the most favored. It typically comes pre-installed on the majority of Android devices and features a straightforward and uncluttered interface.

Although the Gemini integration we have been hoping for on Google Keep has not yet materialized, the company intermittently rolls out valuable enhancements to the app. Recently, the app underwent the Material 3 Expressive design update, and now a long-awaited sorting feature is being implemented.
