Google Messages Update Fixes Persistent Problems with Smart Replies

1 Min Read

Google Messages is rolling out a new Smart Reply functionality that enables users to modify pre-set responses prior to sending them. Previously, selecting a Smart Reply option would immediately dispatch the message. Now, with the “Tap to draft” feature, the response is first populated in the text area, granting users the chance to edit it. This option can be switched in the Settings under Suggestions, permitting users to select between the conventional “Tap to send” and the updated “Tap to draft” actions. Currently accessible in the beta version, this enhancement is part of Google’s continuous initiatives to improve user experience with practical upgrades in their messaging application.
