Google Photos is undergoing a major enhancement with version 7.40, which introduces a new “Create” tab that gathers all of the application’s AI functionalities. This update, revealed in July, is being released in the U.S. starting August 13, with intentions to extend to additional areas. The “Create” tab facilitates simple access to features such as Collage, Cinematic Photos, Animations, and Highlight Videos. Importantly, it incorporates a photo-to-video creation capability, enabling users to bring images to life with AI. The update also adds a plus sign for a drop-down list of creative selections. Although version 7.40 isn’t yet accessible on all devices, it is anticipated to become available to more users shortly. The “Create” tab is designed to simplify access to Google Photos’ creative features, with more updates expected as the global rollout progresses.
