**Google Pixel Phones Afflicted by Ongoing App Reopening Glitch**
Users of Google Pixel have been encountering an odd problem where apps that were closed reappear unexpectedly. This issue has been noted across multiple Pixel models, including the Pixel 8 and Pixel 10 Pro XL. A video posted on the Pixel Phone subreddit highlights the problem: after closing Instagram and trying to access another app, Instagram opens once again.
This glitch has been ongoing for approximately six months, with users voicing their annoyance over the absence of a lasting solution. Some have recommended temporary fixes, like taking a moment before tapping on another app or utilizing the taskbar to navigate between apps.
In spite of user feedback and conversations, Google has yet to offer an official remedy or acknowledgment of the matter. This compounds various issues plaguing Pixel devices, such as Wi-Fi connection troubles following a Quick Share update and unresponsive speakerphone on Pixel 9 and 10 models.
As users persist in their quest for resolutions, Google’s silence has become a contentious issue.
