In a post on Keyword, Google stated it’s providing its “most advanced AI tools at no cost” for students from the U.S., Japan, Indonesia, Korea, and Brazil. Those who are 18 years and above can enroll in Google’s AI Pro plan for free in the previously mentioned nations. This plan not only grants students 2TB of Cloud storage but also access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model.
The 2.5 Pro model offers multi-step reasoning while employing “specific techniques” to arrive at logical conclusions for queries. Google hints that students will also discover Deep Research capabilities within 2.5 Pro, suggesting Gemini will enhance its search depth and comprehension.
