By capping the charging speed, Google intends to prolong battery life, pledging up to seven years of support for these devices.

The Pixel 10 incorporates a graphene cooling system, while the Pro variants take advantage of a vapor chamber, which tends to be more proficient in heat management. This enables the Pixel 10 Pro XL, featuring its larger vapor chamber, to accommodate quicker charging speeds.
Even with the differences in charging speeds, Google guarantees that the overall Qi2 experience remains uniform across the Pixel 10 range. Users can still reap the advantages of magnetic wireless chargers and MagSafe accessories without the necessity for extra cases or stickers.
