This Friday (June 13), Google is launching a trial that seeks to integrate another app’s features into Search.

In a post on Keyword, the company announced that it is commencing a Labs test for enrolled participants to experiment with Audio Overviews in Search. Google mentions that this different overview is expected to utilize the latest Gemini models for “prompt, conversational” outcomes for “specific” queries. Google is optimistic that this functionality (currently being tested) can assist users in digesting information more easily.

After conducting a search, it appears that Google’s Audio Overviews in Search will present an option for users to select. The announcement indicates that testers will observe a “generate” button if the feature is applicable for that specific query.
