What Causes My Phone to Overheat?

Have you ever felt your phone getting warm after extended gaming or watching videos? Heat as a Byproduct of Energy Use

Your phone contains a compact yet powerful processor — similar to those found in computers but smaller and more efficient. These processors can operate at temperatures higher than 75°C (167°F) during intense usage. That heat has to be dissipated somehow.

When you’re gaming, streaming, or even running a poorly designed app, the processor is pushed to its limits. This increased workload produces heat, which explains why your phone might become warm or even hot.
