The S26 and S26 Plus now have a $100 higher price, with the base model offering more upgrades to justify the increase.

Samsung introduced its Galaxy S26 series at the recent Unpacked event in San Francisco. The series features the S26 starting at $899.99 and the S26 Plus starting at $1,099.99. The top-end S26 Ultra, priced at $1,299.99, is the largest, boasting a bigger battery, superior cameras, S Pen support, and additional storage and RAM options. The price gap between the cheapest and most expensive S26 models is $400, down from $500 last year.

While some new Galaxy AI software features are present, this year’s hardware updates are minor. Key changes include the base S26 now costing $100 more but offering 256GB of storage instead of 128GB, a larger battery, and a slightly increased screen size of 6.3 inches. However, it no longer supports mmWave 5G. The S26 Plus also costs $100 more, though it has fewer upgrades as shown in the chart below.
