Honor has once again positioned itself at the forefront of foldable technology, unveiling the Magic V6 as the world’s thinnest foldable phone, boasting the largest battery, and becoming the first foldable with an IP69 rating. Introduced at MWC in Barcelona, the Honor Magic V6 takes the lead with its 4mm thickness when open and 8.75mm when folded, pushing boundaries even further than its predecessor. The 6,660mAh battery marks a significant jump and promises endurance beyond expectations. Employing a silicon-carbon battery with an increased silicon content, Honor claims superior energy density, even hinting at a 7,000mAh battery for the 1TB China-exclusive version.

Under the hood, the Magic V6 features high-end specs: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, stylus compatibility for both screens, and fast and wireless charging capabilities. Its triple-camera setup includes a notable 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, although real-world performance awaits full-release software updates. Emphasizing cross-compatibility, the V6 seamlessly integrates with Apple gadgets, supporting full AirPods features and more.

While not as experimental as Honor’s Robot Phone, the V6 brings together noteworthy enhancements, promising a significant user experience uplift as it prepares for launch later in the year.
