HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters captivated the audience with their Oscars performance of the hit song “Golden,” renowned for winning the Academy Award. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who lend their voices to HUNTR/X characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, showcased a powerful onstage presence. The performance replicated the film’s prologue and then transitioned into a vibrant concert featuring dazzling golden flags and impressive high notes. The Dolby Theater was illuminated with golden light from the audience’s light sticks, notably featuring Leonardo DiCaprio with a light stick. Despite some cuts to “Golden,” it reinforced HUNTR/X’s global impact, having reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 as the first K-pop girl group to achieve this. The song also won the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media, among other nominations. Earlier, KPop Demon Hunters secured the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, with “Golden” winning multiple awards this season, including the Critics’ Choice Award, Golden Globe, and Oscar for Best Original Song.
