### iOS 26 Now Provides Six Alternative Versions of Default Ringtone
iOS 26 is poised to significantly enhance the ringtone selections for the iPhone. A prior beta featured a single new alternative to the default Reflection ringtone, but now iOS 26 beta 6 has introduced an additional five fresh options.
In earlier beta iterations of iOS 26, Apple provided one new ringtone for users. This was designated as ‘Alt 1’ beneath the default Reflection ringtone. Now, this new choice has been assigned a proper name: Reflected. More importantly, it has been accompanied by five exciting new variations of the default ringtone.
In iOS 26 beta 6, the Settings app presents a total of seven choices for the default Reflection ringtone. These choices are:
– Default
– Buoyant
– Dreamer
– Pond
– Pop
– Reflected
– Surge
Default is the sole option retained from iOS 18. It remains identical to the typical tune that iPhone users know well. Reflected was available in previous betas, labeled ‘Alt 1,’ and now it has been joined by Buoyant, Dreamer, Pond, Pop, and Surge.
These new ringtones come alongside a number of significant updates expected in Apple’s Phone app with iOS 26.
