Essential information

  • The unreleased “Pixel Tablet’s Pen” has appeared online and is being offered through various e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, by third-party vendors.
  • The listings seem to feature authentic units from a halted production series, which can be recognized by the GM0KF model number, “Designed for Google” emblem, and Google branding.
  • The pen, compliant with the USI 2.0 standard supported by the Pixel Tablet, performs excellently for sketching and taking notes. It is equipped with a USB-C charging port and charges rapidly.

As you may be aware, the Pixel Tablet’s stylus was never officially released, despite numerous leaks and speculations regarding its existence and design last year. Google appears to have shelved it for reasons unknown. However, what’s particularly intriguing is that the unreleased first-party Pen from Google is now available on various online platforms, including Amazon.

Although Google isn’t retailing these on its own website, the accessory appears to have reached the hands of some eager customers. The pen resembles the genuine article and not a counterfeit, as it appears in one of the listings within the official Google-branded packaging, labeled with “Pixel Tablet Pen” on the box.
