Main Highlights from Samsung’s Summer Unpacked: Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and More Launches

Samsung has recently launched its newest range of foldable smartphones and Galaxy Watch series, highlighting considerable progress in design and technology. The newly unveiled Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 exemplify Samsung’s dedication to innovation within the foldable smartphone sector. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is recognized for its ultra-slim profile, measuring merely 8.9mm when closed, and features a display that is nearly without creases. It sports a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED cover display and an 8-inch main screen, both delivering outstanding brightness and clarity. The device operates on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, enabling sophisticated AI features alongside a powerful camera system that includes a 200MP main lens.

Conversely, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 presents a larger cover display and a compact form factor, defining it as a “pocket-sized AI powerhouse.” It boasts a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow and a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Driven by the Exynos 2500 SoC, the Flip 7 unveils new AI functionalities with One UI 8. It is available in multiple storage configurations and color variations, with pre-orders commencing at $1,099.

Additionally, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a budget-friendly edition akin to the Z Flip 6 design. It keeps a smaller cover display and operates with the Exynos 2400 SoC, providing a lesser storage option and starting at $899.

Alongside the foldables, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Series 8, which includes the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. The Watch 8 Classic features a refined design with a physical rotating bezel and a suite of new health functionalities, such as the “Antioxidant Index” and “Vascular Load.” It is available in black and white, priced at around $500.

The standard Galaxy Watch 8 has a slimmer profile and incorporates a “Dynamic Lug” system for improved comfort. It is offered in two sizes, boasting enhanced brightness and health features powered by Google’s Gemini AI. Pricing begins at approximately $360 for the Bluetooth version.

Samsung also showcased the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra, which boasts the longest battery life and strong performance, available in fresh titanium finishes. This extensive release emphasizes Samsung’s ongoing dominance in the foldable smartphone and wearable tech markets.
