What is Connections: Sports Edition? The NYT’s latest daily word game, in collaboration with The Athletic, challenges players to group four words with something in common. Playable on web browsers and mobile devices, each puzzle has 16 words split into four categories. Correctly grouping four words removes them from the board; incorrect guesses count as mistakes—players are allowed up to four.
Players can rearrange the board to spot connections more easily. Each group is color-coded: yellow is the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, results can be shared on social media.
