Instagram users might soon have the ability to anonymously view Instagram stories, according to a new Meta leak. Social media consultant Matt Navarra shared a screenshot on Threads showcasing an upcoming “Instagram Plus” service. This new feature for the image-sharing app, reported by Engadget, has already been spotted by users in the Philippines and Mexico, indicating a limited test phase. Meta confirmed the existence of Instagram Plus, which offers several exclusive benefits, with the most notable being the ability to “preview” Stories without appearing on the viewer list. Other features of Instagram Plus include posting 48-hour Stories, setting up multiple audiences for a Story, and seeing who has rewatched a Story. The focus appears to be on enhancing Story usage, aligning with the popularity of Stories over traditional grid posts.
