Mind Robotics, a robotics lab originating from electric vehicle maker Rivian, secured $500 million in Series A funding, co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz. This follows a $115 million seed round led by Eclipse in late 2025, bringing total fundraising to $615 million and valuing the startup at approximately $2 billion. Mind Robotics, founded by Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe, aims to enhance industrial robots using data from Rivian’s factory, addressing gaps in current automation solutions by developing AI models for improved dexterity and adaptability. Scaringe noted that many robots will be deployed by year-end, focusing on traditional designs over humanoid robots. Potential collaborations with Rivian include utilizing Rivian’s custom silicon for robotics. Rivian previously spun out Also, an electric mobility startup now valued around $1 billion.
