This partnership coincides with the launch of OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 (Android 16) update, which brings new AI functionalities to the Mind Space app, enabling it to function as a “smart screenshot assistant.” Users can now utilize Gemini’s support to obtain insights and recommendations derived from their saved content, including screenshots, dates, locations, and fashion inspirations.
The Mind Space app, fueled by OnePlus’s AI technology known as Plus Mind, allows users to receive personalized outcomes by entering @Mind Space within the app. This option permits users to gather inspiration from their stored materials, simplifying the planning of activities such as interior decoration, travel, and more. The addition of Gemini’s Extensions introduces a new dimension of intelligent assistance, offering curated support based on the user’s own information.
To take advantage of these features, users need to confirm that their OnePlus device is running OxygenOS 16 and that the Google app is current. Once configured, users can enable Mind Space by pressing the Plus Key on their OnePlus 13s or performing the “three-finger swipe up” gesture on other models. This integration seeks to enhance the user experience by providing a fluid and intuitive method for accessing personalized content and insights.
