Investors have consistently attended Y Combinator’s Demo Days to explore startups with promising technology. This accelerator has launched renowned companies like Airbnb, Reddit, Dropbox, Zapier, and Stripe. We focus on this event to identify standout companies each batch. I recently consulted nearly a dozen investors to find the most sought-after startups from Y Combinator’s Winter 2026 Demo Day. To be included in our list, a startup needed to be a favorite of at least two venture capital investors. Some startups have reportedly raised funds at a $100 million valuation, particularly those with a run-rate revenue of $1 million or more. Less prominent startups this quarter have default valuations around $30 million, double the current seed market average. Here’s the list:

*Why it’s a fave:* Hex uses AI agents for ongoing security testing to preemptively tackle cyberattacks, doing so efficiently and cost-effectively.

**Grazemate**
*What it’s building:* Autonomous drones for cattle herding and monitoring.
*Why it’s a fave:* GrazeMate founder, drawing from experience on a large cattle station, innovates safer and cost-effective cattle management through drones.

**GRU Space**
*What it’s building:* Permanent lunar infrastructure, starting with a hotel on the Moon.
*Why it’s a fave:* GRU Space aims to build lunar structures with its “moon factory,” starting with a luxury hotel, driven by strong investor interest and high-profile support.

*Why it’s a fave:* Led by two UC Berkeley dropouts, Luel connects AI developers with contributors providing valuable data, rapidly generating significant ARR.

**Pax Historia**

*Why it’s a fave:* Pax Historia lets players explore unlimited historical scenarios with AI-driven gameplay, drawing a substantial user base.

**Stilta**
