Apple has secured the latest season of Netflix’s popular documentary, and Netflix will broadcast a live race weekend. When the eighth season of Netflix’s F1: Drive to Survive premieres, it will also be available through Apple TV. Given Apple TV’s five-year agreement to exclusively stream F1 races in the US, subscribers can watch every episode of the new season without switching platforms. Apple TV and Netflix will both stream the eighth season of F1: Drive to Survive, debuting on both services. Additionally, Netflix will have the exclusive live streaming rights for the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix weekend from May 22nd to 24th. Previously aired on ESPN, F1’s CEO Stefano Domenicali mentioned in an interview with Racer that Apple’s reach will enhance the sport’s viewership. Apple is also behind the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie, nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and likely getting a sequel. Despite this partnership for Formula 1, Netflix content is still not searchable from within the main Apple TV app.
