The Find N6 features the most subtle crease among foldable phones. When testing foldable phones, people often search for the crease; with Oppo’s Find N6, this may take a while. Oppo claims the Find N6, launching on March 17th, has the first “zero-feel crease” foldable display. However, “zero” is a stretch. The crease can be felt slightly and only seen at specific angles under certain lighting conditions. It’s the least noticeable crease on any foldable I’ve encountered, unlikely to bother anyone.
Oppo attributes the subtle crease to 3D liquid printing. The crease results from height variations on the hinge surface underneath, addressed by eliminating these variations. A laser scans the hinge to detect uneven points, where a photosensitive polymer fills the spaces, hardened by UV light. This process, repeated over 20 times, achieves average surface variations of 0.05mm—thinner than human hair.
Oppo also claims the Find N6’s crease should remain hard to spot over time, using slightly thicker foldable glass that’s more resistant to deformation and better at retaining its shape. It’s hard to evaluate durability after a few days, but a unit reportedly folded 200,000 times showed no difference in crease compared to a new review unit.
With the full launch a week away, Oppo is tight-lipped about other Find N6 specs. Confirmed features include a 200-megapixel camera, stylus support, and IP56, IP58, and IP59 ratings for dust and water protection, falling short of Honor Magic V6’s IP69 and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s IP68. It’s thin, similar to last year’s Find N5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, available in the silvery color of the review unit and an iPhone-like orange. More details will be revealed on March 17th at the “global” launch, though last year’s Find N5 was limited to China and select Asian markets.
