Peacock is clearly focusing on AI and mobile-centric entertainment.

During a recent press event, the company showcased plans for its app to resemble a fusion of TikTok, a casual gaming center, and a streaming platform.

Among the highlights are AI-driven vertical experiences like “Bravoverse,” featuring an avatar of TV host Andy Cohen. Plus, vertical NBA broadcasts and mobile games promise extended phone engagement.

“Your Bravoverse” is a standout feature for Bravo enthusiasts, known for reality shows like “The Real Housewives.” It curates clips from 5,000 hours of content into personalized playlists with Cohen’s AI guide.

Users pick favorite shows, and AI crafts a stream of clips narrated by Cohen, linking plots and introducing new series.

Peacock’s platform uses computer vision to extract key moments from its library, with AI agents analyzing fan interests, offering over 600 billion viewing options.

Bravo fans provide a targeted audience for AI storytelling given their dedication—watching up to 75 episodes a month.

Launching this summer on mobile, “Your Bravoverse” will extend to living room devices later.

Peacock is also exploring mobile sports streaming, introducing AI-enhanced vertical formats debuting during NBA games in its “Courtside Live” feature for immersive viewing.

Building on last year’s short-form video endeavors, Peacock aims to expand this by dedicating a section to vertical videos akin to TikTok, Reels, and Shorts as media competition intensifies.

Disney+ and Netflix similarly focus on short-form video to engage users.

Previously, during the 2024 Summer Olympics, Peacock launched personalized AI recaps narrated in the style of Al Michaels.

Expanding its mobile gaming, Peacock will introduce mystery games with Wolf Games, which collaborates with NBCUniversal to create AI-assisted crime games.

The platform also adds a Jeopardy! trivia game to its lineup.

These updates signal a broader strategy to transform Peacock into an interactive service, enhancing growth and engagement amid ongoing financial challenges, despite increasing its subscriber count to 44 million, following a previous plateau and a significant financial loss.
