It’s bigger than an AirTag but features a loud siren and flashing strobe light for emergencies.
Following an upgrade to its Clip location tracker last year, which added a panic alarm for sending messages and location to trusted contacts, Pebblebee introduces a new tracker with enhanced safety features. The Halo outshines the Clip in brightness and loudness and has a simpler alert trigger.
Available today for $59.99 via Pebblebee’s site and on Amazon starting April 20th, the Halo remains a location tracker. It works with either Apple’s Find My or Google’s Find Hub, but not both simultaneously. It’s small enough for bags or keyrings but larger than an Apple AirTag or the Clip—about the size of AA batteries—due to added features.
It includes a flashlight powered by a year-long rechargeable battery, although frequent use may reduce battery life. Pulling apart the device activates a 150-lumen strobe light and a 130-decibel siren, louder than the Clip’s 97-decibel counterpart.
Designed to deter attackers and alert nearby people, Halo also supports Pebblebee’s connected safety functions. The Safety Circle feature sends a trusted contact a location link when an alert is triggered. Alert Live shares real-time location with up to five contacts and includes a 12-month subscription, with an annual fee of $24.99 thereafter.
For covert emergencies, Halo can silently trigger Safety Circle or Alert Live without activating the siren or strobe light.
