Products Discontinued by Apple in March: The Full List

1 Min Read

Another Apple housecleaning round is underway. This March, Apple released new hardware, quietly removed a range of older products, and discontinued some product lines without replacements. Such housecleaning is common for Apple, but this time it was more impactful.

Discontinued products include:

– iPhone 16e
– 11-inch and 13-inch M3 iPad Air
– 13-inch and 15-inch M4 MacBook Air
– 14-inch and 16-inch M4 MacBook Pro (Pro and Max)
– Apple Studio Display (2022)
– AirPods Max (USB-C)
– Pro Display XDR (no direct replacement)
– Mac Pro (entire line retired)

The Pro Display XDR, a 32-inch 6K monitor, was discontinued, replaced by the 27-inch, 5K Studio Display XDR. The Mac Pro line is retired, with no direct successor.

“Discontinued” means a product is no longer sold, but may still be serviced for years. After five years, items enter Apple’s Vintage list, eventually becoming Obsolete, after which Apple and repair shops aren’t obliged to service them.
