Hundreds of thousands of users’ masturbation habits were reportedly leaked.

A popular app, Quittr, designed to help men quit masturbating, exposed user data, according to 404 Media. Quittr, marketed as the leading porn addiction app, blocks porn sites and tracks abstinence. It offers community features, including a panic button for emergencies and an AI therapist. The app has sparked controversy, as experts caution against using AI for therapy, and “porn addiction” isn’t recognized by mental health classifications.

Despite this, Quittr has a significant following, with high ratings and financial success. Recently, it was revealed that Quittr leaked sensitive user data, lying about security issues. A researcher exposed a misconfiguration, revealing data from over 600,000 users, including minors. After denial from Quittr’s founders, the issue has reportedly been resolved.
